1. Have arts and illustration always been a passion of yours?
100%, when I was younger my parents just used to give me some paper and pop me in front of a Disney film and that would keep me quiet for hours, so I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t drawing. I’ve always been the ‘creative one’ – I remember when I was younger, my older brother had an art competition at school in which they had to draw a Pokémon. When he came home I drew Pikachu, he took it in and I believe we won. Not to say I’m condoning cheating but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
My sources of inspiration changed over the years. When I was younger I drew my own comics and then delved into an obsession with the Japanese style manga, and from there it went into fashion illustration and now it’s gone into more fine art. It’s developed over the years but it’s always been at the forefront of my mind and 98% of what I base my personality on.
